Giving fashion a greener meaning
We are committed to reduce the impact of the fashion industry by ONLY choosing sustainable materials. We proudly say that our customers WEAR the best materials for them and for the planet.
Recycled plastic bottles
Four recycled plastic bottles of 0,60L equal one NÜWA t-shirt. As an alternative to fossil fuels and a way to help cleaning up landfills and oceans, we focus on recycling plastic bottles.
After stripping them of all labels and caps, PET and rPET bottles (recycled polyethylene terephthalate) are sorted, cleaned and transformed, so they can be reused.
Recycled cotton fibers
Post-industrial and post-consumer cotton are no longer landfill waste! We recover cotton from discarded textile industry scraps. The reclaimed fiber is then spun into yarn and knit into fabric.
These scraps are sorted by color and blended with polyester fibers, which began life as a plastic bottle and are now the result of recycled PETs. Altogether, fabric is ultimately cut and sewn into an exciting new garment.
Only natural processes are used in the production of organic cotton. No toxic chemicals or GMOs (genetically modified organisms) are used, which means that it doesn’t damage the soil, the air we breathe or the water we drink. Organic cotton produces less 50% o CO2 emissions than conventional cotton. It also ensures safe and healthy working conditions for farmers and their families. Keeps the toxic out of your closet and out of our planet.
We only use digital printing – the most environmentally friendly printing technique on the market. our dyes are 100% biodegradable and we are the only Portuguese brand using this method.
We do stand behind our words, working every day to further reduce our impact. Just like our clothing, we commit to offer you earth-friendly packaging, hang tags and labels likewise.
They're plastic-free and made from 100% recycled paper products.
